So, what brought you here?

I’ve always loved fashion growing up. My mom was my first muse and my biggest inspiration. From sewing my clothes to traveling to Milan and studying fashion, she showed me early on how passion and dedication can transform fashion into a meaningful expression of identity. But we shared more in common than just impeccable fashion sense, she also loved photography and even gave me my first camera - a Sony HX400, which I still use from time to time.

As an Asian-American woman who grew up in China, my work pays homage to my heritage. I've always believed that photography is a powerful tool—one that can be used to celebrate diversity while also prompting meaningful social change and action-oriented inclusivity. Up until now, my work mostly focused on collaborating with brands to bring their visions to life, or working on social media campaigns to produce visual captivating and authentic narratives; while I love the commercial side of photography, I am looking to use it as a medium to further explore and celebrate my heritage - highlighting traditional East Asian artistry and silhouettes, such as intricate embroidery and qipao.

The WME Fashion Incubator deeply resonates with me because it embodies the creativity and puroseful action needed to diversify and disrupt fashion. I want to be part of a community that not only celebrates diverse voices but empowers them to lead and innovate. More than anything, I want to make my mom proud and prove that Asian creatives belong in this space. With a background in sports and concert photography and an unwavering passion for storytelling, I am ready to contribute meaningfully to this program and help drive the inclusive, innovative change fashion so urgently needs.
